NEWS RELEASE from The Greater Cleveland Police Scholarship Fund

The Greater Cleveland Police Scholarship Fund sponsors events that aide the families of officers killed in the line of duty.

The Greater Cleveland Police Scholarship Fund, a 501C3 non-profit organization, was formed on August 6th, 1999.  This organization was established to support the children of police officers who excel academically.  Each year GCPSF, through our fundraising efforts, gives away a $10.000 scholarship to a child of area police officers.  This year, Katherine Lee, daughter of Bedford Heights Police Officer David Lee, will receive the $10.000 scholarship at Quaker Steak & Lube in Valley View, Ohio. Katherine will be attending “The Ohio State.”

The Greater Cleveland Police Scholarship Fund continues its outreach to the families and friends of slain officers.  This year we will be hosting the 13th Annual “Police Memorial Motorcycle Rally.”  This year’s ride will be in honor of all officers’ that have given their lives in the line of duty.

Ride continues past Cleveland’s Old Third District and the Cleveland Police Memorial, showing our respect to the men and women who have been killed in the line of duty from the Cleveland Division of Police and its surrounding suburbs.  We then continue to our final destination at Quaker Steak & Lube (Valley View) for food and entertainment.  Registration fee for the ride is $30.00 per rider and $15.00 per passengerRiders registering on July 15th will be charged an additional $5.
