A Message From the Chief

On behalf of the men and women of the Cleveland Division of Police, I would like to offer sincere condolences to the family, friends and members of the Willoughby and Cleveland Clinic Police Departments on the passing of Police Officer Jason Gresko.  Although no words can help ease the pain you bear from this loss, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

DEA National Drug Take Back Day September 29, 2012

Got Drugs?
Turn in your unwanted and expired medications at any neighborhood Cleveland Police district during the DEA National Drug Take Back Day on September 29, 2012.
Simply remove the labels from the medication containers, walk into any of the drop off locations and anonamyously dispose of them.  Prevention starts with education.  Click the link below for drop off locations and more information.

Welcome Back!

On Monday, September 17, 2012, Safety Director Martin Flask administered the oath of office to returning officers Aaron Pettit and David Lam.

Patrol Officer David Lam (center) has been with the Cleveland Division of Police since 2008.  Lam was on laid off status since May of 2011.  His return to duty was postponed due to his service with the US military.  Lam is a First Lieutenant with the Ohio Army National Guard HHC 1 -148TH Infantry and returned home from Afghanistan in August of this year.  Lam is reunited with his loved ones, including his three year old daughter, and his family here within the Cleveland Division of Police.  Thank you for serving and welcome home!

Officer Aaron Petitt (left) has been with the Cleveland Division of Police since 2007.  He returns to the Division of Police after leaving to pursue other endeavors.  Welcome back, Patrol Officer Peitt!
