On Saturday, May 18, 2013, beginning at 9:00 a.m., the Cleveland Division of Police will auction off seized, found and surrendered items which have been forfeited to the city of Cleveland. The public is invited to the Cleveland Police Supply Unit located at 2200 W. 3 St. where the event will take place rain or shine.
Items that will be auctioned off include, among other things, desktop and laptop computers, televisions, electronics, jewelry, phones, bicycles and miscellaneous items. No contraband items will be for sale and all sales are final. Preview of jewelry only from 8:30-9:00 a.m. None of the items come with a warranty or guarantee and only cash is accepted.
Monies generated from the sale of auction items will go to the Law Enforcement Trust Fund (LETF). The LETF is used to purchase items in furtherance of law enforcement. Items purchased with these funds have included personal body armor and on-board mobile computers for police patrol cars.
