Our pizza program continued this week with visits to the Halloran Park, Michael Zone, Lonnie Burten, Earl B. Turner, Glenville, Sterling, Thurgood Marshall and Zelma George Recreation Centers. This program allows police officers to visit the children who participate in the City of Cleveland’s lunch program. Officers surprise the kids with pizza and juice and spend the lunch hour interacting with them while they eat. The kids love seeing the officers and asking questions about being a police officer. The officers enjoy spending some one on one time with the children and seeing all of the bright smiles!
