Cleveland Police Officers Awarded in FBI Honorary Medals Program

Today, four Cleveland Police Detectives and one Shaker Heights Police Detective were awarded the Shield of Bravery by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

In January of 2012, officers of the Northern Ohio Law Enforcement Task Force successfully apprehended suspects with connections to Mexican drug traffickers who also supplied drugs to Cleveland dealers.  During the operation, a confidential human source was shot by a suspect, who then fled with three other suspects.  Officers of the Northern Ohio Law Enforcement Task Force acted quickly to secure the injured individual, aid in his medical transport and join the air/ground pursuit of the armed suspects.  All of the suspects were captured.  These officers were commended for their decisive action and commitment to the mission:

Detective Michael Alexander, Cleveland Division of Police

Detective Todd A. Clark, Cleveland Division of Police

Detective James Cudo, Cleveland Division of Police

Detective Elbin Negron, Cleveland Division of Police

Detective Parker A. Adrine, Jr., Shaker Heights Police Department
