Suspect Wanted for Aggravated Robbery:
Cleveland Division of Police Second District officers responded to the area of West 32nd Street and Lorain Avenue for a suspect who is wanted for Aggravated Robbery/Motor Vehicle and is a suspect in several other Aggravated Robberies. The suspect had been seen in the area earlier in the day and broadcasts to check the area for the suspect/vehicle were repeated throughout the day. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect’s vehicle, a burgundy 4 door Honda, driven by the suspect. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle by activating their overhead lights and sirens. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and fled from officers.
Cleveland Division of Police officers were joined in the pursuit of the vehicle by assisting agencies as the pursuit left the City of Cleveland. The Ohio State Highway Patrol assumed the lead in the pursuit. Stop sticks were deployed by North Ridgeville PD and OHSP and were effective in deflating all of the tires on the suspect vehicle; however the suspect vehicle continued to flee at a low rate of speed. The suspect vehicle came to a stop near the intersection of Route 57 and Route 83 in Grafton Township and the suspect fled into a wooded area on foot.
The area in which the suspect was last seen was searched extensively by officers and canines from multiple agencies. The suspect was not located.
Suspect: Angel David Santana Maisonet HM 44, last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants. Suspect is possibly armed with a handgun.
