POLICE SEEK THE PUBLIC’S HELP IN IDENTIFYING HIT SKIP SUSPECT: VICTIM IS 13 YEAR OLD GIRL

The Cleveland Division of Police Accident Investigation Unit is currently investigating a hit skip incident in which a 13 year old girl was struck by a vehicle and suffered a broken leg.  On Friday, December 13, 2013, the girl was walking crossing Union Avenue when the suspect auto, travelling westbound on Union Avenue struck the victim in the curb lane near the north curb.  The driver of the vehicle did not stop and fled the scene westbound on union.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark colored (possibly maroon) Dodge Caravan or Ford Windstar, possibly early 2000’s model.  The vehicle did not have a luggage rack.  Any damage to the vehicle would likely be in the right front portion of the vehicle and is probably minimal.
