Police Seek Identity of Robbery Suspect:

The Cleveland Division of Police Second District Detective Bureau is currently investigating a robbery which occurred at Target in Steelyard Commons on October 1, 2014 at approximately 5:45pm. Officers responded to the store for a male shoplifter fighting with security guards. Upon arrival, they were advised that the male had just fled. Several zone cars, along with the mounted unit and Newburg Heights PD searched for the suspect, he was not located.

The security officer for Target reported that he observed a male take several items and place them in a shopping cart; he then walked past the cash registers and out the door. The security officer attempted to stop and detain the suspect, who then fought with the security officer and fled toward the area of the steel mill.

The suspect is described as a white male with brown hair and a short goatee. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray t-shirt with a picture of Marilyn Monroe on it.
