Cleveland Police Officers Rescue Baby in Distress

On Monday, February 9, 2015, Cleveland Police Officers Vu Nguyen and Mark Worsencroft were on routine patrol in the area of Pershing Avenue and Broadway Avenue when they were flagged down by motorists.  A young couple was seeking help for their 14 month old daughter who wasn’t breathing.  The officers acted quickly, with Officer Worsencroft performing chest compressions, and the girl soon began to breathe on her own.  The officers then took the baby to a nearby firehouse where Cleveland Firefighters provided further aid by giving her oxygen.  Cleveland EMS Paramedics then transported the baby to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment where she is, at the time of this post, resting comfortably.

Great work by our Emergency Service Personnel this evening!

A big thanks to local media for covering this positive story!
