DETECTIVES SEEK THE PUBLIC’S HELP IN IDENTIFYING TREMONT VEHICLE VANDALS

Police need your help identifying a vehicle used in a series of area crimes. On Sunday 2-27-16, more than 22 victims reported that their car windows had been shot out. The locations vary from Tremont, the West 25th Street & Denison area, the West 25th & Archwood area, the West 30th & Clark area, and the Broadview & Valley Road area. Detectives have been gathering video evidence, and the attached photos are of a suspect vehicle from these videos. One video shows the vehicle traveling down the street, and appears to break at times where the victim’s cars were parked. Detectives are waiting on other video evidence in connection with Sunday’s crime spree. The times vary through the day, but specifically this happened in the Tremont area at around 5:00 pm. If you know of a resident or a business that has video cameras, please ask them to check to see if the cameras caught an image of the suspect vehicle.

On 3-2-16 another crime spree occurred during the night, again hitting the Tremont area. Another 20 cars had their windows shot out. They also hit the areas of West 25th & Forestdale and West 25th & Scranton. A still shot of the suspect vehicle was captured from a victim’s surveillance camera. This victim’s car was hit at exactly 3:54 am. If anyone has surveillance cameras in the area and could check between the hours of 3:30 am and 6:00 am, this may help with the investigation. If anyone has any information on these crimes, please contact Detective Janet Murphy at 216-623-5217 or e-mail at JMurphy3@city.cleveland.oh.us
