LIGHT NORTHERN OHIO BLUE FOR POLICE WEEK, 2018

President John F. Kennedy designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day in 1962. Since then, cities and departments across the United States have taken this week every year to honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
The FBI Citizens Academy Foundation of Cleveland, partnered with the Cleveland Division of the FBI, the City of Cleveland, and the Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial Society have come up with a new way to honor those in law enforcement this year. We will Light Northern Ohio Blue. In doing so, we are asking residents, our private sector partners, non-profit organizations and agencies to spread the word on social media, while also advertising in any way they can. In addition to letting others know, we ask that you – if you are able – light your place of business/home blue and sport your blue attire during Police Week 2018.

Select home improvement stores in Northeast Ohio have generously discounted blue lights for our cause. In addition, check out the official LNOB t-shirt at Only in Clev – https://www.onlyinclev.com/.

We hope you will join us to help #LightNorthernOHblue during this year’s Police Week, May 12-20, 2018.
