A Message From the Chief

It is with great sorrow that we have learned of the death of missing three-year old Emilliano Terry.  On behalf of the Cleveland Division of Police, our condolences go out to all those who loved and cared for this child throughout his life, and to the community who came to care for him these last 24 hours.  Again, I would like to thank all those who helped to spread the word, who assisted in the search, and who provided valuable information regarding Emilliano’s disappearance including the public, the media, our partners, including members of the Peacemakers Alliance and, of course, our own officers.  This is a tragic end for an innocent young life in our community.  And we will not accept it.

The Cleveland Division of Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are working diligently together to ensure a swift and thorough investigation of Emilliano’s death.  He deserves nothing less.  It is our duty and responsibility to ensure justice for Emilliano and we will NOT rest until it is served.  We ask for your continued assistance in providing any information related to Emilliano’s death to our Homicide Unit at 216-623-5464.

Please keep Emilliano in your hearts and know that we are working to bring him justice.

-Chief Michael McGrath, Cleveland Division of Police-
