On October 25, 2013 at approximately 7:17am, 5 year old Israel Thornton was hit by a car as he crossed the street Denison Avenue and West 37th Street. The driver of the vehicle which hit Israel did not stop, and instead fled the scene. The driver of the hit-skip vehicle has not yet been caught.
Investigators believe the vehicle to be light in color and one of the following makes/models: Dodge Journey, Kia Sorrento or Jeep Laredo 4X4 or similar. The vehicle may have some damage to the left front area.
